Rhys Salmon 

Born into a dancing family, his parents are both professional ballroom dancers, Rhys has been dancing since childhood. He has an extensive background in competitive Ballroom, Latin American and New Vogue Dancing. He is also one of the principals of the family owned Danceland and the Director of Kids in Motion. Rhys has achieved great heights in his competitive dancing, holding all major titles within Australia and has represented Australia overseas. Rhys now focuses on his show dancing and demonstrating with his wife Mischa, as well as his passion for Kids in Motion.

Mischa Salmon

 Mischa comes from a performing arts and dance background. Originally from Byron Bay she has been involved in numerous schools, productions and events throughout the area. She also spent some time in Sydney studying at Newtown Performing Arts, Bradfield College and Sydney Dance Company. Since moving to the Gold Coast Mischa has expanded her dancing through Danceland.


Mischa works with Kids in Motion through her vast experience in Drama, Acting, Voice, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Latin, Mumbo, Jive, Swing and various others.

RAD Coach


Emma’s passion for dance has taken her all around the world performing in contracts such as the famous Moulin Rouge in Paris and as Disney Princesses Cinderella & Sleeping Beauty at Disneyland Hong Kong. She is a current member and registered teacher for the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and holds her teachers certificate for the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance (CSTD – Ballet, Modern Jazz, Tap & Theatrical). She has also attained an advanced Diploma in Musical Theatre. Rhett & Emma currently compete as Professional Ballroom dancers representing Australia around the world at international dancesport competitions


Emma is Kids in Motion RAD Coach with her vast experience in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Theatrical, Ballroom, Latin and New Vogue and various others.

Ballroom COACH


Rhett started ballroom dancing when he was only 8 years old. By 15, Rhett had won many state and national titles, and had represented Australia at the Junior World Championships in Italy where he was placed 22nd. By 17 years old, he had won the New Vogue title at the prestigious Australian Championships both in the Junior and Youth division. Having trained in England for 2 years, Rhett is currently ranked 4th in Australia. Rhett is also one of the principals of Danceland


Rhett is our professional Ballroom, Latin, Street Latin, and New Vogue Coach.


Lincoln Jamieson 

Lincoln has been on stage since he was only 6 years old, performing in numerous musicals/productions on the Gold Coast. He is a skilled singer, dancer and actor, and has performed in Disneyland and Disney California Land in the U.S. Lincoln is currently training in all styles of dance and is also training for a Cert. III in Assistance in Dance Teaching. Lincoln is the youngest teacher at Kids in Motion, he was specifically picked to work with the team due to his immense experience in performing and his attitude. Lincoln is the favorite teacher of all the kids.


Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Cabaret, Show, Singing, Acrobatics and various others.


Raymond & Michelle Salmon 

If one of the teachers is away performing, there may be a time when the children get the special treat of being taught by two of Australia's highest regarded dancers. Ray and Shelley were the founders of Danceland and have since semi-retired, they are prior Australasian Professional champions and are renowned for their show dancing.
